Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Plate & Kettle collects health data only to run the features you use, and never sells it. Washington's My Health My Data Act, Nevada's consumer health data law and similar state laws give you specific rights over that data. The Privacy Policy covers everything else Plate & Kettle handles. Questions about either go to privacy@plateandkettle.com.

Why we collect it
Plate & Kettle collects each category to run a feature you chose: setting and adjusting your targets, planning meals that meet them, counting what you ate against them, logging and progressing your training, drawing your trend, answering your questions, and syncing all of it between your phones once you sign in. We don't use consumer health data for advertising, for profiling unrelated to these features, or for anything you haven't asked the app to do.
Who receives it
Consumer health data goes to a third party only when you use the feature that needs it.
- Supabase hosts Plate & Kettle's server and stores your synced history once you sign in. It processes that data only on our instructions.
- Anthropic receives the question, photo or recipe and the supporting numbers when you use an AI feature, processes it to produce the answer, and may not train its models on it.
- Open Food Facts receives the barcode number of a product you scan. A barcode alone says nothing about you.
We don't share consumer health data with affiliates, because Plate & Kettle has none. We never sell it.
Your rights over consumer health data
- Know and access: ask whether we hold your consumer health data, get a copy, and get the list of every third party that received it. Export Everything in Settings gives you the copy at once.
- Withdraw consent: sign out to stop sync, stop using the AI features, or turn off Health access.
- Delete: Delete My Account in Settings removes your data from the phone and our server, and we pass the deletion on to any processor holding a copy. Backups clear within 30 days.
- Appeal: reply to our answer and ask us to reconsider. We'll answer the appeal within 45 days. If we still decline, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint or the attorney general of your own state.
Email privacy@plateandkettle.com to make any of these requests. We'll confirm the request comes from the account holder, then answer within 45 days. If we need more time, we'll tell you why, and the total won't pass 90 days. Requests are free, up to twice a year.
